Position: North America Commercial Director, Culinary and Snacks - Flavors Business
What Your Work Will Taste Like:
As the Director of Culinary and Snacks, you will be at the forefront of driving sustainable and profitable sales growth. You will lead and mentor a team of sales professionals, ensuring the highest standards of performance and development.

Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Management: Oversee the Culinary and Snacks category team, providing strategic direction and fostering a culture of excellence.
- People Development: Cultivate talent within your team, promoting continuous learning and professional growth.
- Operational Stewardship: Manage the day-to-day operations of the Business Unit, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
- Financial Accountability: Set and achieve financial targets, manage expenses, and ensure profitable growth.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute business plans aligned with regional and global strategies.
- Performance Management: Utilize KPIs to monitor and enhance sales team performance, implementing best practices.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders.
- Cross-functional Leadership: Lead diverse and cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
- Lead commercial / cross-functional team in identifying prospective customers, expanding business access, and building business cases
- Ensure full deployment of IFF capabilities (consumer insights, sustainability, ingredients, formulations, innovative solutions) to deliver product superiority and differentiation
- Execute successfully against account plan giving early warning to any threats to deliver it
- Define, request, and ensure the required resources are allocated
- Ensure the debrief process is followed and win/loss analysis is broadly communicated across functions to maximize learning and improve chances of future success
- Foster team's awareness of the costs associated with projects. Ensure actions are taken to optimize
- When necessary, influence management to approve certain projects with low Gross Profit but high strategic value
- Accountable for securing profitable and sustainable sales growth, revenue, gross margin, and commercial expenses within the overall regional P&L
- In conjunction with the Pricing officer and Finance, effectively communicate, and gain stakeholder buy-in for needed expenses and investments.
- Monitor regional accounts and team sales performance and provide strategic updates to Senior management.
Qualifications:
- Over 10 years of experience in sales leadership roles, experience in the flavors or food industry is required.
- Proven track record of driving sales growth and managing high-performing teams.
- Strong strategic thinking and financial acumen.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

- Lead with passion and convey in-depth knowledge of subject matter and product development
- Ability to create, and nurture relationships at senior levels and create opportunities for growth
- Strong Proficiency in financial concepts/processes (pricing/margin/forecasting/cash flow)
- Strategic understanding of regulatory and sustainability issues impacting the industry
- Secure IFF position as preferred partner (core list, coding, negotiations, and contracts)
- Manage sales team performance, and ensure best sales practices implementation;
