The Role Moderna is looking for a seasoned Competitive Intelligence professional to join our Global Franchise Pipeline team. This pivotal role involves providing comprehensive competitive and strategic insights to support decision-making across various therapeutic areas at Moderna globally. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in monitoring and evaluating the competitive landscape, conducting comprehensive threat assessments, and collaborating with key stakeholders to inform strategic planning for Moderna's diverse product pipeline. Here’s What You’ll Do Lead competitive intelligence efforts across multiple therapeutic areas globally, ensuring functional leaders are equipped with essential competitive information for strategic decision-making.

Conduct thorough competitive and market assessments to identify market dynamics, trends, and potential impacts on Moderna's pipeline, delivering insights to executive leaders and stakeholders.

Evaluate the reliability of competitive intelligence research findings, upholding stringent standards for accuracy, relevance, and quality in all deliverables, and effectively communicate the level of evidence to stakeholders.

Collaborate with stakeholders across Commercial, Medical Affairs and R&D to integrate internal and external information, analytics, and data to derive value-added.

Manage relationships with external vendors to ensure continuous and comprehensive market intelligence coverage.

Regularly present detailed analyses and summaries of results, interpret data, and provide recommendations to key stakeholders.

Maintain an in-depth understanding of Moderna's diverse product offerings, competitive positioning, and the broader market dynamics shaping the industry's future.

Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table: Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Science, or a related field.

6+ years of experience in competitive intelligence, market research, or a related field within the pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology industry.

Proven track record of conducting market assessments and delivering strategic insights.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong presentation and communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MS, or PhD) in Business, Marketing, Science, or a related field.

8+ years of experience in competitive intelligence with a focus on multiple therapeutic areas.

Experience managing vendor relationships and cross-functional projects.

Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information and influence decision-making at the executive level.

Familiarity with data analytics tools and methodologies.

This role is based at our Cambridge HQ and offers the flexibility to work remotely up to 30% of the time. Candidates must be based in or willing to relocate to the greater Boston area.
