Senior Supplier Quality Engineer

The Senior Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for driving exceptional supplier performance to create a world-class supply base that exceeds expectations for the business group and the global Supply Chain team. Specific focus includes supplier analysis, development activities, technical support, part qualifications, improvement activities, corrective actions, and new product introductions to ensure component parts and assemblies are consistently manufactured in total compliance with specified requirements. This position also supports the balanced improvement of quality, cost, and service within Nordson's Lean manufacturing principles. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Track supplier performance indicators based on scorecards and rankings to facilitate and develop the supply base's ability to consistently meet or exceed defined expectations and improve Supplier Quality metrics. Provide performance communication to the supply base and internal personnel to ensure proper supplier usage based on performance. Develop supplier ability to support Nordson's Lean manufacturing principles and problem avoidance processes through best-in-class quality, delivery, and lead-time performance processes. Assist in creating, documenting, and maintaining standardized procedures for supplier quality systems, FAI, and approval. Drive systematic problem-solving and process improvement using Lean Six Sigma principles. Act as a technical liaison between suppliers, engineering, SCM group, business group, and manufacturing sites to resolve supplier-related issues. Ensure supplier corrective and preventive action plans align with Nordson's expectations and report on corrective action status to management. Conduct supplier on-site assessments and assistance visits, develop and implement APQP for purchase parts, review supplier processes, collaborate on process improvements, and support Strategic Group activities on supplier development and risk management. Promote early supplier involvement in project development stages, coordinate with Business Unit's new product activities to ensure component manufacturability and quality performance during transitions. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Master’s Degree preferred Experience: Minimum 5-7 years experience in direct supplier relationship management or industrial engineering with supplier interaction Six Sigma Green Belt required. Black Belt Strongly Preferred PREFERRED SKILLS & ABILITIES

Strong communication skills at all levels Proficient in Inspection techniques, FAI, PPAP, Control Plans, PFMEA, 8D Corrective Action Ability to manage supplier quality projects, work well independently and in a team environment Detail-oriented, self-starter with strong organizational skills Proficiency with MS Office applications: Word, PowerPoint, Excel WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS Office environment.
