Position Details:

  • While on-site presence in Duluth, MN is preferred, we welcome candidates from our other locations or those who can work remotely if they meet the ideal qualifications.
  • This is a 12-month contract with potential for extension.

Job Summary:

  • All candidates must complete two weeks of on-site training in Duluth, MN and be present on-site for 1-2 weeks each quarter (dates are flexible).
  • Conduct audits of engineering drawings, assembly instructions, and non-conformance documentation to ensure completeness and prompt action on outstanding items.
  • Review engineering Bills of Materials and perform physical inventory checks of parts and assemblies in preparation for production.
  • Oversee action items and ensure timely completion by assigned personnel.
  • Execute tasks or other responsibilities as directed by the Program Manager or their representative.

Essential Skills:

  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret basic engineering drawings, assembly instructions, and non-conformance reports (training will be provided).
  • Meticulous attention to detail is crucial.
  • Experience in auditing processes is highly advantageous.
  • Background in a manufacturing or engineering setting is required.
  • Self-motivated individual capable of working independently.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines, which may necessitate overtime to achieve critical milestones.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; must be comfortable presenting in front of groups (in-person or via virtual platforms).
  • Proficient in computer applications (Word, Excel, TEAMS, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with Power BI and JIRA is a plus.
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Knowledge of aircraft or automotive design and certification standards is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of JIRA is desirable.
  • Basic understanding of aircraft systems and structures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
