BENEFITS: Great Competitive Rates Flexible Schedule 401k with company match Growth Opportunities SUMMARY: The Fitness Specialist position is responsible for leading safe, effective and engaging fitness classes for participants of varying fitness levels for residents at Discovery Senior Living communities. This role promotes health and wellness through structured exercise programs while creating a positive and motivating environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead group exercise classes, individual exercise classes for residents at Independent Living Facilities. Provide modifications for different fitness levels and abilities Maintain a clean and organized workout space before and after classes Build rapport with participants to encourage regular attendance Stay current with fitness trends and certifications QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to motivate and inspire participants Strong communication and interpersonal skills, organizational skills Previous experience as a group or individual fitness class instructor preferred. CPR certification - will train Previous experience working with older adults preferred. Current certification in group exercise instruction or as a personal trainer through an accredited organization preferred.
