Job Details:
Purpose:Responsible for the cleanliness of the Residence Halls and UHD Facilities.
Responsibilities:Clean bathrooms, offices, residence halls, dining halls, and kitchens. Consistently transport trash and supplies between floors.
Respond and follow through with written and oral University and Housing and Dining policies, procedures, and work-related instructions from supervisors, team leaders, co-workers and residents.
Remove trash from building and take to trash compactor outside.
Vacuum, shampoo, and extract carpets.
Strip, mop, and wax floors.
Move and arrange furniture.
Six months of experience in custodial maintenance work.
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications:Six months of janitorial experience in a large institution.
Six months of experience with vacuum cleaners, buffers, and floor machines.
Six months of experience stripping and refinishing vinyl tile floors.
Demonstrated ability to receive, respond, and follow through with verbal work-related instructions from supervisors, customers, and co-workers.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
$18.00 per hour
