Our physician led medical group enjoys an excellent reputation with patients and the medical community, offering primary care, urgent care and more than 30 different specialties.Job DescriptionResponsible for providing outstanding and professional customer service to ensure efficiency and promote a positive patient experience. · Answers incoming calls promptly and professionally, and triages clinical or non-clinical matters based on their priority · Schedules appointments for various neurology subspecialties · Ensures schedule utilization · Reviews and transcribes incoming referrals to the Epilepsy Center · Reviews and distributes incoming faxes and mail · Supports the front desk by checking in patients, collecting co-pays, verifying insurances and more · Orders office supplies for the Epilepsy Center As a Patient Service Coordinator for the Epilepsy Center you will work with a great team of physicians, physician assistants, and advance practice registered nurses. Within this position there is great support from colleagues and leadership to ensure your success within the role. We are looking for a candidate who is ambitious, reliable, and a team player who is ready to learn. There is ample opportunity for growth within Hartford HealthCare and the Ayer Neuroscience Institute, and this role will prepare you for that next step. Qualifications · High school diploma or equivalent preferred · Relevant experience in a fast-paced medical office highly preferred. · Epic experience preferred. · Spanish speaking is preferred · Positive, customer-focused approach, with commitment to providing excellent patient care. · Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment juggling multiple competing tasks and demands. · Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment. · Excellent verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate in other languages highly desirable. · Strong computer skills. Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office software. · Basic working knowledge of medical terminology. · Ability to travel independently to satellite offices with or without advanced notice. · Strong working knowledge of insurance requirements.
