Key Duties For This Position Will Include

Drive short-term and long-term improvement strategy of processes and “systems thinking” throughout the Operations organization while working across teams to gain alignment in developing and executing program and functional organization improvement plans with multiple stakeholders. Lead cross-functional continuous improvement organization within Operations Transformation, consisting of program and multi-functional organizations focused on improving efficiencies and cost reduction (flow). Lead a team to expand improvement operating model and structure that drives Operations Excellence, embedding continuous improvement culture at Space. Position will work with all aspects of Operations and Space Enterprise to clearly define projects, business impacts, ROI, communication and closure of initiatives and drive metrics for measuring business improvements using Lean Six Sigma methodologies, and business processes management principles. Provide strategic thought leadership over existing Operations Excellence Teams (OETs) to drive a continuous improvement and speak up culture. Develop plans to further expand OETs across the Operations organization. Effectively engage continuous improvement team members across Space to foster business transformation. Coordinate the appropriate human and operational resources. Define and implement metrics to monitor progress and results of CI initiatives. Enable an operating model for new business capture pursuits during proposal and support activities, then implement plans during contract awards. Oversee status of strategic projects, manage budgets, schedules and executive communication out-briefs and drive action plans to closure. Remove barriers that inhibit improvement opportunities.
