The Finance Project Manager initiates, plans, and executes special projects on behalf of the Finance department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Initiates, manages, and completes special projects within the approved budget and schedule.
Identifies resource requirements, assembles project team, establishes project schedule, assigns tasks, and monitors progress of the assigned project.
Communicates potential delays and budget issues to project stakeholders.
Ensures project participants are working as a cohesive team to accomplish goals and meet deadlines.
Coordinates the implementation and training of new systems and upgrades.
Evaluates current department processes to identify internal control and efficiency improvements.
Performs compliance audits to provide independent assurance that processes are performed as designed.
Prepares ad-hoc reports and analysis as requested.
Provides emergency coverage for the department.
Assists with audit requests and document preparation.
Supports the development and achievement of department goals.
Maintains up-to-date knowledge on Accounting Standards and new technology.
Protects the confidentiality of any and all Casino business information.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

REQUIRED

High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Seven years of experience in corporate accounting and/or public auditing
Five years of supervisory experience
Project management experience with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

PREFERRED

CPA or equivalent professional accreditation
Gaming Experience
Experience working with tribal entities

Additional education/experience may substitute for the minimum requirements of the position.

Must be able to obtain a Class IIIA gaming license as required by the Puyallup Tribal Gaming Regulatory Office and the Washington State Gaming Commission.
