Buehlers Catering Specialist plan, prepare and serve food for our customers catered events. We have many exciting and extensive menus and love to make each meal a great experience for our customers. The Catering Specialist works closely with the Catering Manager to successfully achieve the departments goals. Two of our company strategies is to become the *Best in Food Service* and have the *Freshest Foods*, which that starts with one meal at a time.

Our Catering Specialist teammates enjoy preparing and serving food while following established food production programs and procedures.

**A typical day for a Catering Specialist may include**:

* Operate the grill, fryers and related equipment

* Set-up, organizes, and prepares food using established production procedures and systems

* Participation in catered events

* Comply with sanitation, health and personal hygiene standards, and housekeeping to keep the work area clean

* Observe proper food handling techniques

* Store food properly and safely, mark the date and item

* Assist the Food Truck or other foodservice departments as needed

* Handle cash, Take orders, and serve food to customers

**Our legal team wants you to know whats required for this role:**

* Attained at least 18 years of age

* Able to meet the requirements to occasionally stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 50# up to 80#

* Manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures; and can do simple math problems

* Able to work within our deli/kitchen environment that includes equipment such as an oven, stove, dishwasher, slicer, coffee machine, steamer, mixer and chefs knivesso frequently you will be exposed to heat, steam, fire and noise

* Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individual with disability to perform the essential function

**Extra Awesome**:

* Food preparation and serving experience appreciated, but not required. We are always excited to train a new teammate

**$500 Signing Bonus -** The successful candidate must remain in this position for 6 months to be eligible for the signing bonus.

**Additional Information:**

* Non-exempt hourly position

* Must be available to be scheduled 35+hrs a week, including nights and weekends, based on department needs.
