If you are passionate about structural engineering, we invite you to apply todayYOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:As a Structural/Bridge Engineer at EBA, you will be responsible for a range of tasks, including:Performing structural analysis and design for transportation structures such as bridges, retaining walls, box culverts, and pipes.Conducting load ratings for bridges, box culverts, and pipes.Preparing engineering calculations and developing design drawings.Reviewing drawings and reports to develop design options, repair recommendations, and cost estimates.Conducting fieldwork, including site visits and bridge inspections, and preparing inspection reports.Confirming work is in compliance with AASHTO, MDOT SHA, and project-specific standards and requirements.CORE REQUIREMENTS:To excel in this role, candidates must possess:A bachelor's degree in civil engineering with a focus on structural engineering3-5 years of relevant experienceProficiency in steel and concrete designProficiency in using MicroStation and AutoCAD for bridge projectsFamiliarity with AASHTO LRFD code requirementsExperience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)Excellent verbal and written communication skillsPREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:A Maryland PE or EIT WHAT WE OFFER:We offer a range of benefits to help you thrive in your career, including a competitive salary and comprehensive compensation package, health benefits encompassing medical, dental, vision, and prescription coverage, participation in a wellness rewards program designed to reduce or eliminate medical deductibles, a 401(k) plan with matching contributions from the company, flexible spending accounts, coverage for short- and long-term disability insurance, life insurance benefits, paid holidays and vacation time, as well as reimbursement for tuition, certifications, and licensure to facilitate your ongoing professional advancement.WHAT WE DO: At EBA, we appreciate that our success depends upon the experience, knowledge, and teamwork of our staff.
