We are currently seeking a Donor Services Administrative Assistant III in Dallas

Are you seeking an Administrative Assistant opportunity that will allow you to make a difference? Do you desire to make an impact in your community? If your answer is yes, then we invite you to become a Donor Services Administrative Assistant at the American Red Cross In this position, you will support two Regional Donor Services Executives and their teams. We are looking for someone with exceptional time management, someone who is creative and can think critically through starting specific projects, and finding ways to help provide big picture data to our team. This person will help with daily, weekly, and monthly tasks to ensure the team stays on track. The ideal candidate is mission driven, highly self-motivated, extremely reliable with excellent follow through, professional, and capable of managing their work load and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.

What You Will Do:

Responsibilities:
1: Prepare and maintain memos, records, reports, data or correspondence for staff signature. Review correspondence for consistency with corporate policies and practices. May assist in the development of presentations.
2: Perform general administrative duties such as maintaining and collecting data, coordinating the provision of organizational services (i.e. purchasing, supplies, catering, copying/printing), coordinating unit mail and communication flow, assisting in expenditure tracking and budget preparation.
3: Screen telephone and office callers and resolve routine inquiries. Answer routine requests and direct others to supervisor, appropriate staff member or another office.
4: Schedule and maintain calendar of appointments, meetings, events, program initiatives and travel itineraries.
5: May relieve other administrative staff in the unit during temporary absences.

What You'll Need To Succeed

Qualifications:
Education: High School or equivalent is required.

Experience: Minimum 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.

Skills & Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience in personal computer use and Microsoft Office Suite. Proficient typing skills required. Ability to work on a team.

The typical work location will be 2055 Kendall Drive Dallas, TX.

Hours:

Full time, Monday - Friday / day shift


Physical Requirements:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The work environment will consist of moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones and printers, light traffic). The employee must have the ability to work in a small cubicle and have the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.
