Demonstrating proficiency in IV admixture procedures including using aseptic technique in preparation of medication, calculations, maintenance of clean areas and complete documentation is of vital importance. Taking ownership for the control, accountability, and distribution of controlled drugs in the Pharmacy is required. This is a full-time Monday-Friday days/evening rotating shifts with weekend rotation position. Showcases proficiency in IV Admixture procedures including using aseptic technique in preparation of medications, calculations, maintenance of clean area and complete documentation and accurately prepares IV Admixture and sterile compounding. Documents on hood cleaning logs, temperature logs and other records as required and ensures all documentation is complete and appropriately filed. Takes ownership for the control, accountability, and distribution of controlled drugs in the Pharmacy and accurately controls medications from the vault using Secure Med or CII Safe.Qualifications: Experience: One (1) years of experience working in a hospital as a Pharmacy Technician required. One (1) year IV training/experience required.Education: High School or GED.Certifications: Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of Virginia.
