ROLE SUMMARY
The Pharmacy Technician operates under the direct oversight of a licensed Pharmacist, assisting in the daily operations related to the preparation and distribution of medications in compliance with applicable standards, as well as State and Federal regulations, and internal policies.
The Pharmacy Technician is expected to engage professionally and courteously with colleagues and healthcare professionals, ensuring exceptional service delivery to both customers and patients.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
Minimum Requirement: High School diploma or equivalent.
Preferred/Optional: Associate degree in Pharmacy Technology or a diploma in Pharmacy Technology.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Requirement: At least one year of experience in customer service. Proven mathematical skills validated through a pre-employment assessment.
Preferred/Optional: A minimum of two years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician, with knowledge of relevant pharmacy laws and reimbursement processes.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
Minimum Requirement: Registration or licensure as a Pharmacy Technician, or an application for registration or licensure in pending status by the employment start date. Registration/licensure must be secured within six months and maintained in good standing.
Preferred/Optional: Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) from an accredited body.
For Senior Pharmacy Technician:
EDUCATION
Minimum Requirement: High School diploma or equivalent.
Preferred/Optional: Associate degree in Pharmacy Technology or a diploma in Pharmacy Technology.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Requirement: At least two years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician, with a solid understanding of pharmacy regulations and reimbursement practices.
Preferred/Optional: None.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
