Senior Cost Accountant

A thriving biotech company based in Santee, CA that provides high-quality products and services to manufacturers in the medical device industry is searching for an experienced Senior Cost Accountant to join their team They are looking for someone with excellent tenure and at least 5 years of experience as a senior accountant with cost accounting experience and exposure to a manufacturing environment with inventory. This role is the perfect opportunity if you are looking for a long-term position and want experience mentoring others with the potential to advance into a supervisory or management role. Salary Range: $90,000 / year + Bonus Potential

Senior Cost Accountant Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years of experience as a Senior Accountant with GL experience
  • Strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables and Lookups)
  • Excellent tenure and a desire for long-term growth
  • Leadership skills and the potential to grow into supervisory and management roles
  • Experience in cost accounting is preferred
  • Background in manufacturing, particularly with inventory management is preferred
  • Leadership experience or a desire to develop into a leadership role is preferred
Senior Cost Accountant Responsibilities:
  • Conduct physical inventory count reconciliations
  • Manage product and project costs, including material variances and labor efficiencies
  • Handle standard cost accounting duties
  • Participate in GL accounting, month-end close, budgets, and forecasts
  • Consolidate accounts for multiple entities, including international ones
