The Automation Pharmacy Technician 4 will prepare and maintain the Omnicell IV automated equipment for daily use, perform advanced equipment troubleshooting, maintain optimal medication inventory levels, review / maintain reports. The Automation Pharmacy Technician IV will engage with various levels of customer service by identifying and addressing any customer concerns and report to the Pharmacy Services Manager.Responsibilities Perform IV automation tasks in an aseptic, error free manner, consistent with prescribed guidelines. Perform IV automation equipment cleaning and maintenance. Follow Safe Handling of Hazardous Drugs procedures when handling medications. Responsible for identifying/ordering medications to ensure medication inventories are at optimal levels. Responsible for monitoring and ordering consumable supplies required for the operation of the equipment. Responsible for performing advanced troubleshooting and prescribed maintenance of IV automation equipment and reporting unresolved equipment issues to the IV HD. Maintain a high level of communication with pharmacy services manager and customer, to ensure proactive, solution-oriented problem identification and resolution. Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by aligning the Pharmacy Services Program to provide customer-focused support emphasizing quality, professionalism and responsiveness, by acting as liaison between OMCL and customer to assist with customer concerns. Comply with IV Compounding procedures, policies and guidelines established by the Customer facility. Complete negative fingertip and media fill sampling. Maintain state and/or national credentialing to meet established guidelines. Required Knowledge and Skills Good organizational skills, accurate, reliable and efficient. Demonstrated customer-facing skills. Strong interpersonal, communications and problem-solving skills. Ability to work with mechanical equipment. Working knowledge of computer hardware, PC Windows.Basic Qualifications High school diploma or GED Current PTCB Certification or equivalent (i.e., NHA/CPhT, or EXCPT) pharmacy certification, if required Current State Board of Pharmacy Technician License / Registration with the State of TN, if required Working knowledge of IV compoundingPreferred Knowledge and Skills Advanced Troubleshooting Skills with automation devices SME for Pharmacy Services department One year of IV Compounding experience Knowledge of safe handling of hazardous medications Proficient in the use of PPE and hand hygiene techniques Working knowledge of sterile environment requirement Working knowledge of pharmacy automationWork Conditions Available / open to work shifts such as: Evening shift Monday - Thursday 12 -1030p & Monday - Friday 2p - 1030p (alternate shifts every other week).
