**Job Title: Surface Grinder**

**Job Description**

Join our Plate Technology division as a Machine Operator for our Solid Table Surface Grinder. As a key member of our team, you will operate and maintain a solid table surface grinder, surface grinding large steel plates for various industries. Responsibilities include performing machine setups, making minor adjustments to maintain tight tolerances, measuring workpieces using micrometers and calipers, and conducting preventative maintenance on machines as required. You will also be expected to run other machines and tool room equipment as needed.

**Job Type**

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 7 Month(s). Health, dental, vision insurance and 401K benefits begin on the first of the month after you start work. This is a 2nd shift, 3 PM to 11 PM position with flexibility.

**Work Site**

This is a fully on-site position in Battle Creek, Michigan.

**Work Environment**

This role is situated in a large machine shop equipped with various CNC machines, surface grinders, lathes, and tool room equipment, supporting a workforce of approximately 30 employees across 1st and 2nd shifts. The environment is cool, and most machinists work independently.
