RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Perform detailed audits of wireless networks and ensure viability with network and recommend solutions for incompatibility.
  2. Monitor efficient installation of product at customer site and ensure efficiency of various engineering work.
  3. Design projects to deliver excellent quality of services.
  4. Determine client requirements and execute all wireless projects for clients from conception to launch.
  5. Audit network designs for over-design or under-design.
  6. Properly scope requirements for projects.
  7. Work and engage with other members outside of the engineering department.
  8. Train and work with operational level staff members.
  9. Other duties as required or assigned.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Science in Engineering, Telecommunications, or Computer Science and 5-years' experience in networking for Service Providers or medium-to-large Enterprises, with an emphasis on WiFi.
  • Good understanding of Networking protocols (Cisco certification a plus)
  • In-depth knowledge of concepts such as: CCI, RSSI, RF Modulation, RADIUS, MCS Chart, 802.11r, 802.11k, 802.11ac, 802.11ax, Channel-Width, Channel Sizing, DFS, SNR, CBRS and OFDMA, WPA2, WPA3 and QAM.
  • Excellent understanding of Wireless Design Tools such as iBwave, Ekahau and Air Magnet
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
  • Certified Wireless Network Administrator
  • Experience with Ruckus Smartzone/Ruckus Zone Director
  • Experience in the telecommunication industry or with an ISP
