Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team within the manufacturing department. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems to ensure efficient production and high-quality products. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Leadership and Management: Lead, mentor and manage a team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental and organizational goals. Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment, encouraging continuous improvement and professional development. Project Management: Plan, coordinate, and oversee engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. Manage Capital Expenditure (CapEx), allocate resources, and monitor progress to ensure successful project execution. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality in the manufacturing process. Utilize Lean Manufacturing or other Process Improvement methodologies to drive continuous improvement and zero waste initiatives. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations and resolve any engineering-related issues. Convert complex ideas, concepts, and data into visually appealing PowerPoint presentations and present to senior management and other stakeholders. Ability to develop and communicate a compelling vision for the future that aligns with the organization's goals and inspires employees. Quality Assurance: Ensure that all engineering activities comply with industry standards, regulations, and company quality policies. Collaborate with the quality assurance team to address any quality issues and implement corrective actions. Trained auditor with knowledge on evaluating and conducting internal/external audits to ensure compliance. Budget and Cost Control: Develop and manage the engineering budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources. Monitor and control project costs, identifying and addressing any variances. Safety and Compliance: Ownership of safety to maintain high level of awareness to potential hazards and safety risks. Takes ownership and responsibility for safety that ensures protocols and procedures are adhered to at all times. Promote a culture of safety within the engineering team. Hold oneself and others accountable for performance and results whilst upholding ethical standards and integrity in all actions and decisions. You establish clear responsibilities and processes for monitoring work and measuring results. You quickly and decisively take actions in fact-changing, unpredictable situations. You are open to change and continue to learn and experience new opportunities. For This Role, You Will Need: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field). Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or similar role in a manufacturing environment. Strong leadership and team management skills. In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems. Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, Perfect Execution, and other process improvement methodologies. Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and quality assurance practices. Proficiency in engineering software and tools. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart: Excellent project management abilities, with a track record of successfully managing complex engineering projects.
