About the Role - Assistant Director of Operations
The Assistant Director of Operations will be responsible for the oversight of the hotel's rooms divisions. This will include the front office, housekeeping and guest services. This person may also oversee food and beverage as necessary. Duties may include but are not limited to:
  • Hiring, training, coaching and counseling.
  • Working on budgets, plans and goals for the operations teams.
  • Implementation of procedures and standards in regard to guest satisfaction.
  • Resolving guest complaints to maintain a certain level of guest satisfaction.
  • Maintaining a team and property that is in full compliance with Health regulations as well as Hyatt standards.
  • Assimilation of Operation statistics as well as plans of action for areas of improvement.
Wage Information:

The salary range for this position is $76,700 to $115,300. This is the pay range for this position that Hyatt Regency Newport Beach reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.

Qualifications:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Hospitality education and/or equivalent Hospitality Operations experience preferred.
  • Ability to lead a team, with an innovative and motivating approach.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays and weekends.
  • Experience in Hotel Operations (Rooms) necessary, Additional F&B experience a plus.
  • Department Head experience preferred.
