YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a GIS Software Developer, you will be responsible for:
  • Collaborating with the project team and clients to develop custom web-based solutions.
  • Developing automation processes, scripts, and routines.
  • Designing and building solutions within a remote team environment, utilizing central source control and adhering to standard operating procedures, including code reviews and documentation.
  • Developing test plans, implementing unit tests, and test scripts.
  • Managing tasks and tracking work, documentation, status, and results in a primarily agile development environment.
CORE REQUIREMENTS:

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and characteristics:
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, including document object model manipulation.
  • Experience with React or another modern JavaScript framework such as Vue, Ember, or Angular.
  • Must have experience using GIS software
  • Demonstrated proficiency using version control software.
  • Experience developing HTML/CSS.
  • Understanding of geospatial concepts and visualization.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • BS or BA degree in computer science, geography, GIS, engineering, or a related field (Industry and work experience can be substituted for education).
  • 3-5 years of demonstrated experience developing software solutions at any level.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
DESIRED SKILLS:
  • Experience with the ArcGIS Platform, especially in development.
  • Experience developing responsive web applications.
  • Knowledge of Node.js, Python, or .NET.
  • Experience interfacing with REST APIs.
  • Knowledge of RDBMS systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, and/or PostgreSQL).
  • Links to GitHub (or similar) projects or publicly available applications demonstrating front-end development skills.
