We are looking for an experienced C++ developer who is passionate about building software that leads to customer success. We want someone excited to join an existing team, learn an older codebase, and work to incrementally modernize it. This role will be focused on improving the maintainability of a successful product with hundreds of active customer organizations through incremental refactoring, test harness development, and technology upgrades.

Requirements

  • Practical industry experience in C++
  • A willingness to dive in and discover the details of an old codebase
  • Desire to take ownership of work
  • Future-oriented approach to the job at hand
  • Ability to work with current teammates through change
  • Experience developing test harnesses for GUI applications

Preferred Experience
  • Any of Win32 MFC, ATL, COM, ActiveX
  • Incremental upgrading of an older codebase
  • Team Foundation Server, Git, modern Windows APIs, Azure DevOp
  • Accounting/Manufacturing/Distribution domain industry domain knowledge
