Analyst-Information Services Clinical Intermediate

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Performs ongoing system support, administration, maintenance and upgrades of clinical applications.
  • Maintains up-to-date system test scripts and system documentation for assigned applications and functionality.
  • Conducts on-site workflow assessments and identifies best practice standards.
  • Analyzes, designs, and builds clinical applications to satisfy the needs of the user departments.
  • Maintains a high level of interaction with all clinical areas to continually enhance/improve patient care.
  • Work seamlessly within the IU Health and Indiana University clinical research community to support, communicate, and educate research staff on appropriate utilization and integration of the applicable research applications across the enterprises (i.e., OnCore, Cerner, PowerTrials).
  • Collaborate closely with research staff and IU Health IS build teams to understand and translate clinical research protocols into Cerner research orders sets including care sets and PowerPlans.
  • Be responsible for clearly communicating task needs and expectations across multidisciplinary teams across IU and IU Health research stakeholders.
  • Maintain up-to-date process documentation for assigned applications, functionality, and workflows.
  • Conduct on-site workflow assessments and identify best practice standards to incorporate into future processes
  • Analyze, design, and build clinical research applications and workflows to satisfy the needs of the user departments
  • Maintain a high level of interaction with all clinical research areas to continually enhance/improve patient care
PREFERRED:
  • Pediatric and hematology/oncology nursing experience.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years experience required.
  • Requires current license/certification or eligibility (e.g. RN).
  • Requires experience in a clinical discipline (e.g. Nursing).
  • Requires experience with clinical systems or experience implementing/supporting clinical systems.
