WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?
As a Principle Software Engineer, you will provide hands-on leadership in delivering scalable and creative solutions to support Digital Operations. You’ll plan, design and implement applications and features that help accelerate our Digital Operations team in ensuring products are available in multiple marketplaces and channels at the right time.
WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?
You will work closely with Architecture, Product, and Engineering leadership teams to help align on the architectural and product visions and define an engineering direction. You also will partner closely with engineering teams to deliver against a backlog established and groomed in partnership with product owners. You will mentor and guide other software engineers, ensuring rigorous engineering processes and best practices.
Qualifications:
WHAT YOU BRING TO CLIENT
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent work experience
8+ years of experience in Software Development, using modern technologies and frameworks in either Java or Node.js and cloud-based development
5+ years in a lead engineering role responsible for architecture and design decisions and hands on engineering experience focused on delivering enterprise scale systems
Strong skills in team leadership and building positive relationships across Product, Architecture, and Engineering, and ability to influence decisions and changes across loosely coupled teams
Ability to define solution options, provide estimates on effort and risk, and evaluate technical feasibility
Experience working with Agile frameworks, processes, and teams
Deep professional experience with cloud engineering technologies and serverless design
Experience in microservice architecture, domain driven design, and RESTful APIs using languages such as Java or Node
Experience with NoSQL data stores
Experience with automated testing, automated deployment pipelines and continuous delivery
What are the 3-4 non-negotiable requirements on this position?
8+ years of experience in Software Development, using modern technologies and frameworks in either Java or Node.js and cloud-based development. 2. 5+ years in a lead engineering role responsible for architecture and design decisions and hands on engineering experience focused on delivering enterprise scale systems. 3. Experience working with Agile frameworks, processes, and teams.
What are the nice-to-have skills?
