Andaz Miami Beach is now recruiting a Group Sales Coordinator to join the hotel's opening team. An art-deco building and architectural landmark is home to the newest luxury lifestyle hotel located in the heart of Mid-beach. Opening in late 2024, the property boasts 287 guestrooms including 34 breathtaking suites and the ONLY Ocean-view arrival experience in Miami Beach. Job Description:
The Group Sales Coordinator position will provide support to Sales Managers, Director of Group Sales and Director of Commercial Services as needed. The Sales Coordinator will maintain files, systems and communication to other departments as directed by Sales Managers. The ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative, problem-solving skills, outstanding time management skills and a passion for the hospitality industry and customer service.
Responsibilities & Duties Include:
- Answer all incoming calls and customer inquiries the sales team receives
- Ensure that all leads are entered into our Sales Lead system, Envision
- Assist with coordinating and checking show rooms for site inspections
- Assist with assigning group leads from all lead channels to the appropriate sales/catering managers
- Assisting the sales team with preparing proposals, contract, and other sales materials
- After the group departs, review the group revenue to ensure accurate reporting.
- Ensure that all group commissions are processed within the agreed timeframe
- Assist with updating sales records and documents accurately
- Serve as the systems administrator/ key op for sales systems
- Communicate with other departments and clients as requested
- Administrative tasks (answering phones, file keeping, office supply orders, etc.)
- Must be able to use Microsoft office programs (Outlook, Mail, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Additional duties as required
- At least one-year administrative experience.
- Excellent computer skills, especially Microsoft Suite
- Excellent verbal and communication skills.
- Must be able to work on tasks with minimum to no supervision
- Knowledge of hotel operations and the interdependence of each department
- Ability to prioritize tasks/needs of internal and external customers
- Proven business communication (verbal and written) skills
- Ability to effectively multi-task; excellent organizational skills
- Ability to demonstrate care and empathy to both internal and external guests
- Strong analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills
