We are seeking an experienced and strategic-minded individual to join our team as an Operations Procurement Supervisor at our large manufacturing facility located in Pryor, Oklahoma.
The Operations Procurement Supervisor will be responsible for leading all aspects of procurement activities to support our operational needs while ensuring cost effectiveness, quality, and reliability of the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement Strategy. Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the organization's operational goals and objectives. Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, terms, and delivery schedules.
- Inventory Management. Work closely with production and inventory teams to optimize inventory levels and ensure adequate stock availability to support production schedules. Utilize inventory management systems to track inventory movements, monitor stock levels, and minimize excess or obsolete inventory.
- Continuous Improvement. Implement best practices and process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency, streamline workflows, and optimize supply chain performance. Identify areas for improvement, develop action plans, and lead cross-functional teams to implement changes and achieve operational excellence.
- Compliance and Risk Management. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations related to procurement and supply chain management. Identify and mitigate risks related to supplier quality, delivery, and performance to minimize disruptions to operations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or related field, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
