The business operations specialist usually reports to a project manager or director. Responsibilities: Establish and maintain communication services across business units or from the project team to the organization. Maintain the storage and retrieval of all project communications data and business metrics. Review contracts, cost proposals, and contract supplements. Set up project and work breakdown structures. Establish and document business processes. Track project budgets and expenditures, and monitor transaction controls and costs against budgets. Predict potential budget overruns and offer solutions. Manage system-based tools that provide real-time information regarding sales, purchase orders, order forecasts, and channel inventory Coordinate with internal teams on the weekly production confirmation, EOH/aging clearance plan, and purchase order tracking. Monitor team performance by publishing daily/weekly KPI tracking reports to flag exception cases for early warning to the team to proactively drive corrective actions and improvements. Support Collaborative Planning, Forecasting, and Replenishment (CPFR) supply chain process by providing internal reports and analysis during weekly planning meetings. Respond to ad-hoc reporting requests from internal and external customers in a time-sensitive environment. Skills: Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, customer service, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage one's time. Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods. Ability to apply accounting and mathematical principles to work as needed. Ability to analyze business trends and project future revenues and expenses. Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel; Enterprise Application experience is a plus. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in business management, economics, finance, accounting, or relevant field required. 5-7 years experience required. Bachelor's degree Required; Minimum 3-5 years experience in General Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Finance, or related fields Experience preferred in the telecommunications and/or wireless industry requiring management of finance, logistics, distribution, program management, and/or business planning, or equivalent work experience in planning, finance, or operations. Experience should include daily/weekly reporting in a timely and accurate manner and researching and resolving operational data discrepancies. Strong analytical and data management skills. Detail-oriented, with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven team environment. The ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all appropriate levels within and outside the company. Ability to work independently with minimal oversight while exercising excellent judgment Must have advanced MS Excel knowledge and skills (including use of pivot tables and advanced formulas) Experience using advanced supply chain management, enterprise planning, or financial planning systems (e.g. SAP) preferred.
