job description. Reports to the Director of Transportation. Responsible for advancing the department's goals and objectives as identified in the Mobility Element. Supports the Director in developing and executing short term Department goals. Supports the Director in developing and executing the Department's Operating and Capital budgets. Oversees the Mobility Engineering and Operations division, and Multimodal Planning division of the Department. Includes oversight of the City's Traffic Management Center, Development Review process, Active Transportation Planning and Traffic Engineering. Responsible for development of work plans, employee evaluations and professional development. Oversees the development and implementation of the City's Capital Improvement Program. Coordinates with local, state and federal agencies to advance the department's objectives. Establishes strong working relationships with local community organizations and businesses. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree

in public administration, transportation planning, urban planning, traffic engineering or a related field, AND; Seven years

of experience in urban planning, transportation planning or transportation engineering, three years of which includes supervisory responsibility. Desirable Qualifications Transportation experience , specifically in transportation funding sources, public sector experience and a

Master's degree

is highly desirable. SELECTION PROCESS The tentative selection process will consist of any combination of

training and experience evaluation, a panel interview, a department-level interview, and a work preferences questionnaire.
