Compensation Range:
$100K - $120K annual D.O.E
Core business hours:
8:30 am - 5:00 pm, Exempt - Supervisory

The Accounting Manager will oversee the Finance department’s day to day functions with focus on ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of financial statements and reporting.
Essential Duties:
Oversees all accounting functions: cost, general, AP, AR/Credit, taxes, etc. and assists in the development and implementation of goals, priorities, and procedures relating to accounting, AP and AR/Credit
Develops employees to enable growth in their business judgment and provides training to increase their skills to support the business.
Strong initiative, leadership and management skills with ability to manage and motivate a diverse professional team
Manages financial activities of the Accounting and AR/Credit departments and maintains general and subsidiary ledgers, ensuring all costs and expenses incurred are properly recorded
Identifies financial status by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts
Compiles and analyzes financial reports and find discrepancies that require senior management’s attention
Identifies trends, advises company and recommends actions to Corporate Controller and CFO based on sound analysis
Drives process improvement and policy development initiatives that impact the function
Participates in the ongoing development/establishment of accounting policies and procedures and operational strategies including the review and implementation of process and system changes
Manages preparation of documents to meet standards and comply with laws, regulations (GAAP, SEC, IRS, etc.), and company policies
Analyzes the effect of statutory accounting practices and studies regulations and guidance to ensure correct application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
Standardizes and streamlines the flow of accounting and AR/Credit tasks
Produces Monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, fluctuation analysis reports and ad hoc financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends
Develops and maintains audit schedules/reconciliations required by auditors and management on a monthly basis and at any time required for
Manages accounting and finance activities in day-to-day operations and priorities, including general accounting, accounts receivable/credit, inventory, fixed assets, general ledger and training of accounting and AR/credit personnel.
Coordinates preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting.
Interacts with tax consultants and assists in preparing income tax provision and returns and support documentation for filings.
Coordinates tax audits, as needed.
Maintains effectiveness and efficiency by identifying and resolving problems in a timely manner.
Supervises and handles accounting journal entries for month end and fiscal year closing.
Manages full cycle of company’s fixed assets activities.
Responsible for compiling and filing all taxes and governmental reporting in a timely manner.
Assists in monitoring and implementing internal controls (in conjunction with corporate policies) as necessary to insure reporting integrity, safeguard company assets and identify risks
Maintains a teamwork atmosphere and take on the opportunity to be cross-trained
Provide leadership and guidance to ensure successful execution of company goals and objectives.
Train team in all functional areas to better understand the finance work-flow.
Regular attendance and punctuality are an essential duty including time management

Requirements
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting/Business Management/Finance preferred or equivalent work experience
3+ years supervisory experience
Knowledge, Skills and General Abilities:
10 key, Excel, Word, Oracle a plus
Strong hands on leadership and organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
Ability to interact professionally with all levels of management and to lead and motivate staff
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Supervisory and/or Management training
Certificates, Licenses, or Registrations in related field
Other Special Skills and Abilities:
Proficiency in Microsoft Windows application and Microsoft Office software
PC Desktop knowledge and usage required
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Sitting for periods of time.
Infrequent lifting up to 15 lbs.
Walking for brief periods of time.
Prolonged visual acuity necessary to view VDT.
Standing for brief periods of time.
Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard.
