Exempt Summary:

Under general supervision, originates consumer loans by interviewing applicants, analyzing data, approving or denying credit requests, notifying applicants of loan decision, and cashing approved loans. Communicates with retail consumer dealers. Sets up files, inputs loan data, and prepares reports. May assist with loan servicing. Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

Interviews loan applicants, explains loan options, rates, terms, and collateral requirements. Cross-sells services. Underwrites loan applications, orders credit reports, verifies information, and communicates credit decisions. Responds to inquiries, explains loan procedures, provides technical assistance, and processes loans. Enters loan data into the computer system. May assist in loan servicing. Engages in sales calls with dealers and contractors to promote loan products. Performs related duties as required.

Skills and Abilities Required:

Interpersonal skills for conducting loan interviews and maintaining dealer accounts. Understanding of loan program features. Compliance with regulations and risk obligations. Analytical ability for credit analysis and recommending alternatives.

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or related area preferred. Two to five years of experience in consumer lending.
