Responsibilities

The Accountant will:

  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets
  • Conduct accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
  • Perform bank and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data
  • Process and monitor payroll transactions, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures, including journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including data entry and filing
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve accounting discrepancies and provide necessary support and information
  • Support the preparation of audit schedules and assist auditors during the annual audit process
  • Assist in inventory management and cost accounting activities, including tracking inventory levels, performing inventory reconciliations, and analyzing cost variances
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of accounting processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Qualifications
  • 2-3 years of experience in an accounting role
  • Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel (e.g., spreadsheets, formulas, pivot tables)
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
  • Knowledge of payroll processes and regulations
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Analytical mindset and ability to interpret financial data
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
Desired skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
