Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Lender to join our team. The Senior Lender will be responsible for managing and growing our loan portfolio, ensuring compliance with lending regulations, and maintaining strong relationships with our clients. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in lending and a passion for supporting the financial goals of our community. Key Responsibilities: Loan Origination and Management: Evaluate and approve or deny loan applications based on creditworthiness, collateral, and risk. Develop and maintain a diverse loan portfolio, including commercial, residential, and consumer loans. Conduct thorough financial analysis and risk assessment for loan applicants. Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective clients. Provide exceptional customer service and personalized financial solutions. Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their financial needs and providing appropriate loan products. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all lending activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations. Monitor and manage loan portfolio performance, identifying and mitigating potential risks. Prepare and present detailed loan reports to senior management and regulatory bodies. Team Leadership and Development: Mentor and support junior lending staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment. Stay informed about industry trends and best practices, sharing knowledge with the team. Participate in community events and represent the bank in a positive manner. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field; MBA or related advanced degree is a plus. Minimum of 5 years of experience in lending, preferably within a community bank setting. Minimum of 2 years of management experience. In-depth knowledge of lending regulations, credit analysis, and risk management. Proven track record of successful loan origination and portfolio management. Strong analytical and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
