Our company is seeking an experienced and highly-motivated Buyer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will perform complex purchasing activities, negotiate terms with suppliers and maintain the efficient output of purchase orders. You will be responsible for establishing selection criteria for evaluating quotations, making decisions regarding awarding of purchase orders, and implementing formal and legal contractual documentation into the purchase orders. Your job will also include resolving discrepancies between purchase order requirements and supplier performance, ensuring compliance to government laws, regulations and procurement policies and procedures, identifying problem areas and initiating corrective actions. You will be expected to maintain current and accurate purchase order data in the purchasing system. This role may require working nights and weekends, and additional hours as necessary.
