Job Title: Junior Buyer

Type of Role: Contract

Expected Length of Contract: 3-4 month Contract with opportunity for extension

Shift / Hours: Monday - Friday 8am -5pm

Location: Fountain Valley, CA (2 days a week onsite required)

Hourly Range: $25-30 ph DOE

The Junior Buyer will contribute to a dynamic procurement operations team for a large global organization. This role will support the sourcing and purchasing of goods and services essential to our business and our clients' needs. You will assist in managing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring efficient procurement processes are in place.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Support procurement activities for IT hardware, software, software maintenance, telecommunications, and professional services.
• Assist Buyers in the RFx process including strategy development, supplier sourcing, RFx issuance, risk identification, pricing negotiation, and contract negotiation.
• Manage assigned suppliers through Quarterly Business Reviews, performance evaluations, issue resolution, invoice, payment and contract management.
• Support Buyers to communicate with suppliers/internal stakeholders, provide status updates on Purchase Orders (POs) or Goods Receiving, and conduct spend analysis.
• Support ERP and contract management system, ensuring compliance with the company's purchasing policies.
• Assist the Procurement Manager with workload assignments, user and supplier requests, and provide support on procurement processes and procedures.

Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, purchasing, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 2-3 years of experience in purchasing, strategic sourcing, or supply chain, exposure to IT procurement a strong plus
• Strong critical thinking and negotiation skills.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of management.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated with strong business and financial acumen.
• Experience with contract management and supplier relationship management.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
• Preferred certifications: CPSM, C.P.M., CSCP, or CPTE.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Korean is desired.
