Buyer Planner

Job Description

Engage in the process of identifying and engaging with essential material suppliers to bolster our advancement within a Lean Manufacturing framework. Cultivate and sustain productive relationships with principal suppliers, and actively participate in resolving any disputes to preserve harmonious supplier partnerships. Develop and implement innovative procurement strategies aimed at minimizing inventory levels and work-in-progress (WIP). Drive initiatives for continuous enhancement to secure the most economical procurement costs. Address the disposal of outdated inventory and scrap in an efficient and cost-effective approach. Collaborate with suppliers and team members to swiftly address and rectify any issues affecting the schedule. Seek out and suggest opportunities for enhancing operational efficiency, prioritizing process improvement initiatives. Aid in process enhancement programs by supplying relevant metrics and analyses. Compile and analyze data to generate comprehensive reports on operational performance, highlighting key trends. Oversee the planning and scheduling processes to guarantee timely project completion. Assist in the establishment of new production controls designed to streamline inventory and WIP.
