The Role Assist in the daily analysis of manufacturing variances. Follow up with operations to take corrective actions and make necessary financial adjustments Review work orders with operations, ensuring they’re closed timely and related costs are captured correctly Review new item cost and roll new standard costs when it’s needed Complete assigned manufacturing journal entries including but not limited to DP& DS COS accrual, absorption accrual & variance adjustments Participate in annual standard cost review and update Prepare and submit assigned inventory reconciliations including but not limited to raw materials, WIP, and finished goods Assist in preparing, analyzing, and coordinating the annual budgets and monthly forecasts Support the finance team in establishing sound inventory policies, procedures, and financial systems to ensure the quality and integrity of inventories Assist in physical inventories and help review cycle counts to ensure proper internal controls are followed Any other ad hoc projects assigned by Finance Directors Other duties as assigned The Candidate BS/BA in Finance or Accounting required Manufacturing experience required Higher degree and/or CMA preferred 5-7 years of cost accounting experience Sound knowledge of US GAAP and cost accounting principles Strong mathematical, accounting, finance, and analytical skills JDE, OneStream, Excel (especially pivot tables and VLOOKUP), Word, PowerPoint and Business Objects experience desired Why You Should Join Catalent Competitive medical benefits and 401K 152 hours of PTO + 8 Paid Holidays Dynamic, fast-paced work environment Opportunity to work on Continuous Improvement Processes Catalent offers rewarding opportunities to further your career
