Job Description
As a Financial Analyst for the Syracuse plant, you will play a pivotal role in providing analytical support to financial processes, drive value to the business and manage risks.

You will partner with the finance & operations teams to ensure objectives are met. You will support the annual operating plan and help forecast processes. You will assist & support financial activities of the accounting department for the Syracuse plant to ensure there is alignment with the goals of Avery Dennison, Solutions Group. You will partner with the Syracuse Plant Leadership team to ensure goals and objectives are met.

Provide accurate and timely information for month, quarter and year end close. Coordinate the month end closing activity for the plant ensuring integrity of financial reporting.

Ensure Plant internal control & Coordinate SOX activities

Prepares financial statements to summarize and forecast the company's financial status.

Produces and manages balance sheets and analyzes future earnings and expenses.

Assists with management of accounting, auditing and budgeting within the organization.

Assists with preparations for audits.

Works to reconcile accounting inaccuracies or imbalances.

Ensures compliance with and prepares reports according to applicable government regulations.

Uses accounting software to maintain records and prepare reports.

Delegates accounting tasks to accounting staff.

Coordinates with and prepares reports for Controller and upper management.

Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

Support Investment (Capex) planning and business case development (AFEs)

Demonstrate key organizational behaviors as they relate to safety culture, values & ethics, OGSM, strategic deployment, culture change, etc.

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field

3+ years finance or accounting with P&L or related experience

Analytical skills and knowledge of US GAAP

Attention to detail and excellent communication and relationship skills.

Creative/innovative/strategic thinker.

Understanding of applicable computer systems, such as Microsoft Office, Google apps, BI tools.

High level of dedication to teamwork in a high performance environment.
