Jr. Staff Accountant

**Description**
The Jr. Accountant will support the Accounting Manager in month-end closing process for the corporate office, including preparing and posting journal entries.
This position is based in St. Louis, MO and is hybrid in the office 3 days a week.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Involved in month-end closing process for the corporate office, including preparing and posting journal entries.
+ Analysis of corporate general ledger.
+ Perform monthly reconciliations.
+ Communicate with various corporate departments and Regional Controllers regarding general ledger transactions.
+ Participate in the annual corporate budget process.
+ Document corporate accounting procedures as needed.
+ Assist with special projects as directed by Supervisor.
+ Complete Census reporting forms as received.
+ Prepare and gather data for the external and internal auditors to complete audits.
**Requirements**
+ High School diploma or GED equivalent required
+ BS in Accounting or Business with an emphasis in Accounting required
+ Minimum 0-3 years experience
+ Extensive knowledge of Excel and Word
+ Excellent communication and organizational skills
+ Possess ability to work independently and as a team player
+ Must be accurate and detailed oriented
+ Excellent customer service skills
+ Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Skills
+ Experience with AS400 systems a plus
