Clearance Requirement: TS//SCI with Full Scope Polygraph As a Principal Systems Engineer at Synergist, you will serve as a critical member of an agile software development team where you will be responsible for various aspects of the systems engineering life cycle. Primarily, you will act as a liaison between stakeholders and development team where you will analyze customer needs, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications. You will also assist customers in validating those requirements, advising them of alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studies when necessary. You may also be required to lead design and development activities and serve as the Scrum Master for the team. Additionally, you will be responsible for guiding system development and implementation planning through the preparation of engineering and system integration and test plans. You will also be working very closely with the non-technical program personnel, stakeholders and users and may be required to mentor junior team members. Degree and Years of Experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a similar technical field of study and fifteen (15) years of experience. An additional four to five (4-5) years of equivalent practical experience may be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree. Minimum Qualifications

At least fifteen (15) years performing and providing technical direction for the development, engineering, interfacing, integration, and testing of complex hardware/software systems to include requirements elicitation, analysis and functional allocation, conducting systems requirements reviews, developing concepts of operation and interface standards, developing system architectures, and performing technical/non-technical assessment and management as well as end-to-end flow analysis At least ten (10) years leading, providing technical supervision, and guiding senior-level engineering personnel; solving varied technical/scientific problems; and generating and reviewing designs for technical accuracy, completeness and appropriateness in light of objectives, budget and scheduleExcellent communication, customer service and organizational skills Passion for technology and the drive to learn

Required Experience

Experience working in a SAFE Agile software development environment Experience developing automated test scripts (Selenium, SoapUI, Katalon, Cucumber) Experience managing software code using Git & MAVEN Experience testing from web applications which use modern JavaScript front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue) and/or backend run-time environment (NodeJS) Experience testing applications interfacing with REST-based APIs/services Experience with software testing and troubleshooting of software issues for SIGINT systems using test-driven development frameworks Experience testing applications for 508 compliance Experience with automatic testing and generating test scripts Experience working experience with behavior-driven developments (BDD) such as Cucumber and Lettuce Experience with STEP, TD&E, and AO testing process Experience analyzing, translating, and managing user requirements and decompose into software solutions Experience participating in establishing and gaining approval of the definition of a system or component under development (requirements, designs, interfaces, test procedures, etc) that provides a common reference point for hardware and software developers Experience developing simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories Experience with software integration (new and existing systems) Experience troubleshooting, debugging and defects correction Experience with the creation and editing of software system documentation Experience assisting with development and execution of test procedures for software components Desired Experience A Master’s Degree in a technical field Experience in requirements analysis/generation and developing systems architectures Experience as a system engineer in programs that encompass systems architecture, requirements analysis, design, production, integration, test and transition into operations Experience with independent verification and validation of system requirements Computer/system architectures design and development for Linux and WindowsExperience with Agile Development methodologies such as Scrum Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) signal detection, identification, measurement, collection, distribution and amplification Experience with real-time processing, computing, control and digital signal processing Direct experience with electrical power measurement and specification (AC and DC) Direct system engineering experience with system timing analysis, system throughput and bandwidth estimation, and computer software applications and techniques Direct experience creating Test Procedures, coordinating engineering activities, and testing/installing hardware Direct experience specifying, evaluating, installing and maintaining equipment Experience writing systems documentation (system CONOPs and other technical documents) Developing documentation required to support a program’s technical issues and training situations Experienced with Object Oriented and Structured development methodologies, networks, data storage, data modeling, data ontologies, security architectures and CASE tool selection and use Performing a variety of tasks related to knowledge/technique dissemination to groups of analytic workforce and demonstrated an ability to convey new techniques and technologies to analytic workforce and facilitate transference of acquired knowledge from more experienced analysts to new analysts Experienced with system architectures in a service oriented and ESB environment Applying agile and/or spiral development models Developing system performance, availability, scalability, manageability, and security requirements for mid-to-large-scale programs Integrating information system into SOA or on to ESB architectures Experienced “wrapping” legacy systems or components as Web Services within a SOA framework Developing solutions integrating and extending COTS products Integrating FOSS, COTS and GOTS products from multiple vendors Implementing solutions with PKI-controlled access Developing and deploying integrated desktop applications Developing, delivering, testing and supporting integrated hardware and software systems with functional requirements within a CMMI Level 2 process structure Incorporating collaboration services into an integrated desktop environment Designing and developing applications that contain a user-facing view component
