Posting Title Director of Financial Operations Overview Oversees the financial functions of the Conway School of Nursing in collaboration with the Dean and serves as a key contributor to the financial positioning of the School as a whole. This includes management and oversight of all financial areas, operations, communications, reporting, budget negotiation and preparation, long range forecasting and projections, and high-level financial analysis and recommendations. The Director, in collaboration with the Dean, shares in shaping and implementing organizational policies, strategies, and systems to advance the School's business goals. Manages all aspects of gifts and endowments and serves as a grant liaison for all intra and extramural grant submissions, funded projects and post-award activities. Responsibilities Oversees matters pertaining to finance, accounting, and administration and advises the Dean and School stakeholders. Leads the development and monthly monitoring of the School's annual operating and capital budget, and five-year financial strategic plan for the School. This includes all revenue and expense modeling; the fiscal year-end closeout of all accounts in conjunction with the University Budget Office and Controller's Office; all general accounting activities; billing for faculty clinical practice; and interaction with offices for accounts payable and purchasing. Maintains accurate and complete budgets for staff and all school operations including the technology budget and ensures budgets are in compliance with regulations. Reconciles budget details and resource allocation requests. Reviews and reconciles budget requests against targets and funding totals. Routinely analyzes budgets for variances and collaborate with the Dean for remediation of negative variances. Leads the development and monthly monitoring of the annual operating and capital budget, and five-year financial strategic plan for the School. Qualifications A Master's Degree and a minimum of four years of budgetary/professional experience in an office setting, with two of them being grants focused. Basic knowledge of budgeting and fiscal management principles and procedures. High proficiency in Excel and Google. Knowledge of grant funding policies and procedures and applicable local, state, and federal and university regulations.Database management skills. Negotiation and arbitrations skills.Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies.
