A Day in the Life As a Portfolio Manager, you will promote the Advanced Surgical Instrumentation (ASI) product portfolio to drive and protect revenue at mid/large IDN/GPO’s in specific markets across the U.S. Primary responsibilities include engaging the C-suite, hospital executive(s), and leaders within the Supply Chain for pan-ASI contractual conversations. You will own primary hospital executive relationships within aligned accounts, gain deeper understanding into their challenges, and apply ASI solutions. You will collaborate with the sales team within the region to ensure execution and optimization of any agreement. 50-75% of travel will be required based on regional needs. Grow and maintain partnerships within assigned accounts to understand, align, and support customer initiatives, identify optimal ASI solutions, and gain alignment and agreement from executive levels within the IDN/GPO or account. Coordinate and collaborate with regionally aligned field sales team to protect and drive incremental ASI revenue in categories that represent the greatest amount of competitive share. Act as contractual owner for all cross-ASI portfolio sales opportunities within assigned region. Partner with internal contracting, pricing, and finance teams and utilize available analytics tools to understand contractual performance and drive agreement compliance. Collaborate and align with US Marketing and Offer Development on creative contracting solutions to bring new value in changing markets. Educate supply chain/C-Suite on Medtronic value added services brought forth by Therapy Specialists and local sales team to help drive contractual optimization. Inform sales leaders and local area team members of new account opportunities, align and implement solutions to drive incremental share. Schedule and execute quarterly business reviews within the target market. Partner with operating unit Strategic Accounts resources to ensure the regional delivery of most recent and aggressive contracting levers available to the business. Assist the local sales leaders to drive optimal contract optimization with the ultimate goal of high share across ASI within targeted IDN/GPO’s and accounts. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned: Achieve or exceed quota in complex contracting role (or role with heavy contracting responsibility). Develop and maintain Senior/C-Suite level relationships with strategic partners and work with them to identify and qualify new business opportunities. Develop and execute appropriate portfolio management strategy in collaboration in alignment with the Surgical business to expand and protect market share, optimize pricing strategy, and build long-term contractual agreements and relationships with clients and strategic partners. Understand the account and territory’s strategic priorities and increase value through the execution of key programs and initiatives. Secure, convert, and grow revenue through regional contracting strategy. Develop, communicate, and implement business plans to achieve business results. Lead and build collaborative teams who share account responsibility across the surgical organization. Must Have: Minimum Requirements Bachelors degree required. Minimum of 5 years of medical device/operating room sales experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of medical device sales experience. Nice to Have Analytical and Financial Acumen: Proven existing knowledge of how and what data to leverage in key contracting situations; Navigation and application of analytics. 3+ years of knowledge of all ASI products within the portfolio with the ability to speak to performance of these products within these markets and apply that knowledge to both market share and revenue-based agreements. Ability to gain followership and drive accountability at the same time with key internal and external (customer) partners. Track record of leading, embracing and driving new innovation sales. MS Office, PowerPoint, Tableau, SalesForce skills. Strong executive presence including exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Managerial courage to confront challenging internal and customer demands. Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD): $140,000. This position is eligible for an annual long-term incentive plan. The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others). In addition to Base Salary, this position is eligible for a Sales Incentive Plan (SIP), which provides the opportunity to earn significant incentive compensation for achieving or exceeding your goals.
