The Mechanical Estimator will be responsible for completing start to finish estimating on Mechanical and Plumbing projects, including take-off and compiling the final estimate/proposal for submission to the customer. Project sizes range from $100,000 to $25,000,000. This is a direct hire role with our client.
  • Conducting detailed take-offs and assembling comprehensive estimates.
  • Adhering to safety requirements and fostering a positive safety culture.
  • Analyzing project specifications, labor costs, materials, and other relevant factors.
  • Seeking clarification on project details as needed.
  • Updating cost estimates based on new information and scope changes.
  • Analyzing and verifying all project costs for accuracy.
  • Identifying and addressing potential cost uncertainties.
  • Fulfilling additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years as a construction estimator, specializing in mechanical projects.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Background: Mechanical experience in construction management, engineering, or related trades.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency in Excel, Word, QuoteSoft, and project management software; scheduling experience is advantageous.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks and thrive in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Credentials: Must pass a drug test and possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
