Administration Job Summary Responsible for implementing the vision, strategic and marketing plans for the WesternU Health clinic practices. Primary focuses include cultivating a highly functional and collaborative relationship with the WesternU Health practitioners, increasing patient volumes, adding new services lines (i.e. Physical Therapy, Podiatry and/or Mental Health), practice optimization and building brand awareness. Oversees the Operations staff at each practice site.

Reports to the Sr Director of Operations, WesternU Health of Western University. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Individuals must possess these knowledge, skills, and abilities or be able to explain and demonstrate that the individual can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations, using some other combination of skills and abilities.

1. Knowledge of financial reimbursement for medical clinics.

2. Ability to maintain confidentiality is essential.

3. Advanced Excel user with the ability to create and manage complex spreadsheets, with a strong ability to use a variety of computer programs as needed including Microsoft Office software.

4. High degree of initiative, judgment, discretion, and decision making with the ability to analyze situations accurately and taking effective action as needed.

5. Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively with diverse units and personalities internally and externally such as managers, regulators, payers, contractors, vendors, etc.

6. Financial management skills, including the ability to analyze data for budgeting, operations, availability, account receivables and pro-forma preparation.

7. Excellent oral and written communications skills. Ability to provide high quality customer service; maintain professional communication with faculty, campus administrators and industry representatives by providing regular status updates.

8. Ability to negotiate effectively.

9. Demonstrated familiarity with basic contract language, terms and clauses.

10. Well organized, independently motivated individual with the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.

11. Proven ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.

12. Ability to handle detail-oriented assignments with accuracy and consistency, with minimal supervision.

Required Qualifications 1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field.

May participate in the development of the strategic plan. -Provides leadership in developing, planning and implementing the practice’s business plans to the Physicians. -Recommends, develops, implements process improvements for the practice with support of the Operations staff. -Assures that the established WesternU policies and procedures are followed. Works with the Sr Director of Operations, WesternU Health and Operations staff to develop new policies and procedures. -Resolves any medical-administrative problems and keeps lines of communication open with staff to ensure high employee morale and a professional, healthy clinic atmosphere. 25 Job Duty -Collects, analyzes and reports data as requested by the Sr Director of Operations, WesternU Health. -Informs Sr Director of Operations, WesternU Health about current trends in the region, along with problems or concerns at the practice level. -Oversees the business and financial affairs of the practice and fiscal management in conjunction with the Sr Director of Operations, WesternU Health. -Reports key performance indicators to the Sr Director of Operations, WesternU Health on a regular basis. -Enhances operational effectiveness, emphasizing cost containment without jeopardizing important innovation or quality of care. 25 Job Duty -Acts as the liaison to community partners (i.e. training programs for Medical Assistants, local chambers of commerce and businesses, etc). Encourages community education by initiation participation in health fairs and events to promote awareness. -Partners with the Marketing Dept at WesternU to develop marketing, brand awareness campaigns, general marketing material, etc. Percentage Of Time Percentage Of Time

20 Job Duty -Serves as the risk/compliance manager for the practices within the region. Takes action to mitigate risks and serves as the liaison to WesternU Risk/Quality/Compliance department. Resolves patient complaints if they can not be resolved at the practice level. -Ensures clinic compliance with all regulatory agencies governing health care delivery and the rules of accrediting bodies. Continually monitors operations, programs, physical properties. Initiates appropriate changes. -Oversees the managed care programs and assures that all practices within the region are meeting quality targets. (I.e. Minimizing care gaps.)
