Minimum of an undergraduate degree (Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts) in communications, journalism, or related field1-2+ years PR/job-related experience in public relations, communications, marketing, journalism or related fields, with direct culinary, travel, hospitality and lifestyle client background preferredStrong detail and organizational skillsAbility to multitask, prioritize and manage projects effectivelyExcellent verbal communication skillsExcellent writing skills, both technical and creativeStrong news writing and reporting proficiencyGood base of media contactsDemonstrable media pitching skillsSolid understanding of social media and how to utilize itSensitivity to deadlinesAbility to anticipate needs and learn quicklySensitive listening skills (from client, supervisor, and media)Results-oriented thinking, effective judgment, and ability to anticipate, spot, and fix problemsSelf-motivated and resourcefulAbility to work both independently and collaborativelyComputer proficiency and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google programs; Cision, MuckRack and other PR programs a bonusGood sense of humor and a love for travel is a mustApplicants for employment in the U.S. must possess work authorization which does not require sponsorship by the employer for a visa.
