Description
St. Joseph Residence in Manchester, NH is a small, family like atmosphere nursing home dedicated to providing compassionate care for 22 sisters of the Presentation of Mary Sisters order, who are cared for according to their individual needs. We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Director of Nursing Services (DNS) to join our nursing management team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing leadership, a commitment to high-quality care, and a passion for serving our community of sisters.

- Oversee the daily operations of the nursing department to ensure high standards of care and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures that promote optimal patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Manage and mentor nursing staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Coordinate patient care plans, working closely with physicians, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Monitor and ensure the accuracy of patient records and documentation.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and development opportunities for nursing staff.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and service delivery.
- Serve as a liaison between the nursing staff and other departments within the residence.
- Participate in budget planning and resource allocation to maintain efficient and effective nursing operations.
Requirements
- Valid RN license in the state of New Hampshire.
- Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing; Master's degree preferred.
- Strong knowledge of nursing practices, healthcare regulations, and quality improvement principles.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
