Key Responsibilities: Conduct in-depth fundamental research on biotech companies, including financial statement analysis, competitive positioning, and industry trends. Monitor and analyze key developments in the biotech sector, such as clinical trial results, FDA approvals, mergers and acquisitions, and technological advancements. Build and maintain detailed financial models to project future company performance and valuation. Assist in the development of investment theses and recommendations for long and short positions. Prepare and present research reports, investment memos, and other documentation to support investment decisions. Collaborate closely with the Senior Equity Analyst and Portfolio Manager to identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities. Attend industry conferences, management meetings, and other events to gather insights and build relationships within the biotech community. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to excellence. Preferred Skills: Experience with specialized biotech databases and tools (e.g., Bloomberg, FactSet, Thomson Reuters, PubMed). Established network within the biotech industry, including contacts in academia, industry, and regulatory agencies.
