Accounting Technician

Responsibilities • Prepare individual and business tax returns for accounting staff • Supports Service Line Leaders and Partners with policy documents and workpaper templates • Meets internal deadlines to match the client expectations for timely delivery of service • Seeks advice regarding issues and problems relating to tax compliance • Identifies missing items to prepare returns • Ensures client data is collected in a timely manner to comply with filing requirements • Uses Firm compliance software to maximize efficiency of tax returns • Daily use of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) • Other duties as required Required Qualifications • 1+ years of tax preparation experience • Ability to work in a deadline driven environment and handle multiple projects • High level of attention to detail • Ability to successfully multi-task while working independently or in coordination with other professionals • Understand and maintain the confidentiality of all information • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate with diverse personalities in a tactful and mature manner • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to respond tactfully and professionally in high demand situations • U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident About VSH VSH is a growing full-service accounting and advisory firm with locations in Bellingham and Burlington.
