Digital Marketer Manager

Position Summary

If you are a strategic thinker with a passion for digital marketing and a proven track record of driving customer-focused initiatives, we invite you to apply and grow your career with Johnny's Selected Seeds.

As the Digital Marketing Manager, you will play a vital role in driving marketing innovation, generating revenue, and consistently improving Johnny's customer experience by partnering with members of our marketing team to deliver best-in-class campaigns. Your primary responsibility will be to manage our growing digital advertising (PPC) programs in support of our goals for brand awareness, customer acquisition, customer retention, and customer engagement. You will also lead the effort to create a cohesive digital marketing plan for email, SEO, social media, and more.

This is a full-time salary position based in Winslow, Maine (Hybrid 2/3).

Responsibilities
  • You work closely with our marketing team and external vendors to develop effective strategies to drive traffic and revenue for Johnny's Selected Seeds brand. You will lead the effort to create an annual digital marketing strategy and plan with the support of our marketing, sales, and product teams.
  • You implement and oversee PPC campaigns in coordination with an external vendor that you will manage. This includes keyword research, bid adjustments, ad creation, testing, segmentation, and market analysis.
  • You will work closely with graphic designers and marketing to create and optimize ad creative and landing pages.
  • You will plan, execute, and measure experiments and conversion tests for the paid channels.
  • You are responsible for reporting the performance for digital advertising campaigns and will coordinate with other members of the marketing department to provide digital marketing reporting.
  • You manage the digital marketing budget, including planning, forecasting, and optimization.
  • You act as a trusted partner and subject matter expert regarding paid channels for our brand.
  • You assist with strategic forecasting and project road mapping sessions.
  • You work closely day-to-day with Content Marketing Specialist, Ecommerce Manager, and Merchandising Manager to coordinate and optimize messaging, creative, and customer experience across digital marketing efforts (SEM, SEO, Email, and website).
  • You work with the social media team to optimize content creation for organic social, track performance, and growth social reach.
  • You are comfortable leading teams and managing complex projects.
  • You are passionate about data-driven marketing and stay up-to-date with emerging digital tools, industry trends, and Marketing Technology.
  • You are a self-starter and are driven to come up to speed quickly to meet team goals and deadlines while working productively as a remote employee.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or IT.
  • 5-7 years of relevant Digital Marketing experience.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Proven experience in digital marketing with a focus on customer acquisition and retention.
  • In-depth knowledge of SEM, SEO, email marketing, and social media marketing.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with A/B testing methodologies.
  • Ability to speak to your portfolio of relevant campaign examples.
  • Familiarity with customer segmentation strategies to enhance targeted marketing efforts.
  • Proven project management experience. Use of Basecamp and Monday.com a plus
  • Strong financial skills to manage digital marketing budgets.
  • Leadership experience a plus
  • Future state may include direct report responsibility.
