Director of Operations

The Director of Operations is a key senior-level role responsible for efficient, scalable, and reliable operational performance across multiple departments. This executive will oversee the infrastructure and systems crucial for delivering effective services and supporting business growth. With a comprehensive understanding of the company’s operating models, the role will ensure coordination and alignment among key areas such as facilities, finance, human resources, licensing and compliance, marketing, training, and IT support.
Responsibilities
Provide leadership and effective management to diverse operational teams. Ensure alignment of the organization in pursuit of revenue and strategic objectives.
Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop strategies that enhance customer engagement and drive revenue growth.
Work closely with the People team in pursuit of talent that enhance our ability to retain, attract, and develop the team.
Oversee maintenance, security, and compliance of all company facilities.
Establish, implement, and communicate the strategic direction of the organization’s operations team.
Collaborate with leadership to develop and meet company goals while supplying expertise and guidance on operations projects and systems.
Identify, recommend, and implement new processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline organizational processes and use of resources and materials.
Ensure that departmental decisions and project plans such as those for staffing, development, organization, material efficiency, hardware acquisitions, and facilities are in line with the organization’s business plan and vision.
Establish and administer the department’s budget.
Maintain knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in operations management
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related field; Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 4 years in a leadership role in operations, preferably in the insurance industry.
Ability to lead a large, diverse team that delivers results and influences cross-functionality.
Proven track record in managing complex operational and strategic initiatives.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
Proficient in financial reporting, data analysis, and operational auditing.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to manage changing priorities as needed.
Excellent communication, analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills with proven ability to interact with employees, clients and vendors at all levels of responsibility.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize and scale in a fast-paced environment.
