Summary/Objective This position will be responsible for a variety of duties to support the bi-weekly payroll function, including checking and auditing timekeeping records for compliance with established standards, maintaining time and attendance records.

Essential Functions Reviews and audits payroll, timekeeping and supplemental pay records for compliance with established standards for each bi-weekly payroll. Posts changes in pay, tax status and miscellaneous employee changes. Assists in pulling and organizing data for external audit requests. Completes employment verifications and state employment verification requests. Processes garnishments, tax levies and other wage attachments, responding timely to required deadlines. Processes tax notices and financial reconciliations. Assists in the running of payroll reports to ensure accuracy of data. Assists in production and dissemination of sales commission workbooks. Mailing out live checks and processing unclaimed checks Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education, Experience, Certifications and Licensure High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 3 years of payroll processing experience in a service or SAAS environment (Ceridian, ADP, Ultimate, Paychex). Knowledge of multi-state payroll; wage withholding and garnishments.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications Excellent client and communication skills. Able to read, write and speak English fluently. Bilingual is a plus. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint) required. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Must possess sound decision-making skills and multi-task while working in a fast-paced environment with specific deadlines.

Supervisory Responsibility This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The duties associated with this position are generally performed in an indoor office setting. Equipment used to perform the essential function of this position includes, but is not limited to computer, fax, copier, merchant terminal, multi-line phone system, personal or company owned vehicle. Employees in this role are regularly required to climb, sit, stand, bend, kneel, and frequently lift to 25 pounds. This position may also require reaching, pushing, and pulling. This position may also be exposed to chemicals and/ or blood borne pathogens. Exposure risk is considered: Low Overtime is sometimes necessary or required.
